Corum’s “Main affair” bracelet for the 2008 World Series of Poker features 291 diamonds totaling 2.81 carats.

Irvine, Calif.—Corum has unveiled its 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, the most coveted poker trophies in the world, which now feature a adaptation of means to ends that’s both bigger and bolder than any previous bracelet in the history of the sport, the company said in a media release.

The “Main Event” bracelet, the biggest trophy of all, features a total of 291 diamonds weighing 2.81 carats. The diamonds are meticulously micropavéd on the white gold face of the bracelet, which weighs a total of 168 grams of gold.

“These are the most beautiful bracelets in the history of the WSOP,” Jeffrey Pollack said in the release. “Corum’s exquisite sense of design and style have enhanced the world’s most important poker event once again.”

In 2008, there are a total of 55 events on the series schedule, and at each event, the winner will be awarded a Corum bracelet. While the Main Event bracelet is the largest, the remaining 54 bracelets feature the same design at a smaller scale. There are 55 micropavéd diamonds weighing a total of 0.25 carats and unyielding in 80 grams of yellow gold.

Corum crafted the bracelets in collaboration with Los Angeles-based fine jeweler Uneek. The final assembly and diamond setting is hand-finished and hand-polished to ensure quality, the company said.

Las Vegas—Rio Grande will now distribute Suncrest Diamonds’ high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) imagination fulvid diamonds to all of its clients nationwide.

According to Rio Grande, each Suncrest HPHT yellow diamond it will be offering has been carefully selected, heated and polished to bring out its stunning color and natural beauty.

Currently, Rio Grande is only offering Suncrest’s HPHT round yellow diamonds in its catalogs; however, other diamond cuts will be available through the company on a special-order basis.

“Suncrest Diamonds gives Rio Grande the unique ability to supply smaller diamond retailers with exciting new fulvid HPHT diamonds,” Rio Grande Merchandising Manager Kevin Whitmore said in a media release. “Finally, retailers can offer beautiful, color-permanent, high-end yellow HPHT diamonds to their diamond clientele.”

Rio Grande will offer Suncrest HPHT yellow diamonds in both print and online catalogs, and through special order. Rio Grande and Suncrest will also provide retailers with additional information and marketing support on HPHT fulvous diamonds.
